Application Process

1: Complete the Common Application or Coalition Application, providing personal details, academic history, and extracurricular activities.

2: Ensure your school submits official transcripts and, if applicable, your SAT/ACT scores.

3: Write strong personal and supplemental essays that highlight your unique experiences and reasons for choosing Harvard.

4: Request letters of recommendation from two teachers who know you well and can speak to your strengths.

5: Submit financial aid forms if needed, including the FAFSA and CSS Profile, to apply for financial assistance.

6: Track all application deadlines and ensure all materials are submitted before Harvard’s Early Action or Regular Decision deadlines.

7: If offered, prepare for an alumni interview to further demonstrate your interest and fit for Harvard; complete a post-interview reflection within 24 hours.

Eligibility Criteria:

Undergraduate Applicants:

  • SAT or ACT scores: SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing: 670–790, SAT Math: 680–800, ACT Composite: 31–36.
  • English proficiency test scores if your first language is not English. Minimum scores: IELTS: 7.0, TOEFL iBT: 100, PTE: 70, and Duolingo: 125

Graduate Applicants:

  • Include your GRE or GMAT scores if required by the program (no minimum score is mandated; check specific program requirements).
  • Provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo) if your previous education was not in English.

Save Your Costs With Scholarships 

Harvard Financial Aid:

  • Covers up to USD 84,400 (INR 70.8 lakh) in total for admitted students, including international applicants.
  • Meets 100% of demonstrated financial need and can cover tuition, fees, housing, meals, health insurance, and personal expenses.
  • Starting from the 2025–26 academic year, Harvard College will be free for students whose family income is $100,000 or less, and tuition-free for those with family incomes up to $200,000.

The Reliance Foundation Scholarship:

  • For undergraduates: Up to USD 2,400 (INR 2 lakh) in total.
  • For postgraduates: Up to USD 7,200 (INR 6 lakh) in total.
  • Supports outstanding Indian students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

The Inlaks Scholarship:
